This is my first deviation since quite a while.... I shot this lovely creature in the South of France. To me it's an Unidentified Spikey Object. I have no idea what it is. I think it's some kind of Grasshopper, as it could jump incredibly far!
 I hope someone can tell me what this is as I have never seen it before. I shot also a few green ones.... I hope you like it. If not: tell me! And also why.... Learning learning learning.... *EDIT* Thanks to Kathrin (  ) who pointed out this is a 'Acrida ungarica'. I guess this makes it a 'Identified Spikey Object' now...  It lives mainly on dry, barely vegetated land. (Rarely in moist areas). Common in the Mediterranean, Hungary and South of Austria. (Doesn't exist here in the Netherlands...) |
